Mail-In Repair Service Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our Mail-In Repair Service. By requesting a shipping label and sending your device to PC Repair Center, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Agreement”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting the mail-in request form or otherwise shipping your device to us, you (“Customer”) accept and agree to these terms and any additional terms posted on our site. If you do not agree, please do not use the Mail-In Repair Service.
2. Service Description
PC Repair Center offers remote repair via mail‐in for eligible devices, with free two-way shipping within California. We diagnose, quote, and, upon approval, repair devices such as laptops, desktops, tablets, and game consoles. This service is subject to device size/weight limits and shipping carrier restrictions.
3. Eligibility & Acceptance
- Geographic Scope: Free two-way shipping applies only to California addresses. Customers outside California may use the service but will cover all shipping costs.
- Device Condition: Devices must power on at least to BIOS/boot menu. Severely damaged or liquid-exposed devices may incur additional evaluation fees.
- Approval Required: All repairs require Customer approval of our written or emailed quote before work begins.
4. Shipping & Handling
- Free Shipping (CA): We provide a prepaid label for UPS or USPS ground service.
- Outside California: Customer pays for outbound and return shipping.
- Packaging: Customer must pack devices using adequate padding. PC Repair Center is not responsible for damage due to improper packaging.
- Lost or Delayed Shipments: We fulfill our obligation once the device is scanned by the carrier. File any carrier claims directly with UPS/USPS under their liability policies.
5. Order Cancellations & Returns
- Cancellation Window: Under the Federal Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 CFR Part 435), you may cancel within 3 business days of receiving your shipping label for a full refund of any pre-paid fees.
- “No Fix, No Fee”: If we determine a device is non-repairable, you owe only return shipping (unless located in California, in which we cover return shipping).
- Declined Repairs: If you decline our repair quote, we will return your device upon request. California Customers return shipping remains free; non-CA Customers pay return postage.
6. Payment Terms
- Diagnostic Fee: A non-refundable diagnostic fee may apply if you cancel after quote approval.
- Repair Fees: Payable by credit card or other approved methods upon completion.
- Taxes: Applicable sales tax will be added for California customers.
7. Customer Data & Privacy
- Data Backup: You are responsible for backing up all data. PC Repair Center is not liable for data loss.
- Confidentiality: We maintain a secure chain of custody and do not share personal data, in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
- CCPA Rights: California residents may request access, deletion, or correction of personal data collected through this service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PC Repair Center’s total liability for any claim related to this service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the repair work. We expressly disclaim any incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Warranty Disclaimer
All repairs are provided “as is.” Except where prohibited by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by California law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration in San Diego County, California, under JAMS rules.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
